Family is thinking of Siem Riep or Chiang Mai for a five-day vacation this June. The former will be humid, but Angkor Wat beckons. Chiang Mai has great hiking trails and, of course, Thai food (although I heard Khmer food is really good).

In the Philippines, where makeshift homes are overpopulated and rural areas lack modernization, a library is a safe, quiet space to learn and study, and would have things we often take for granted:
