@seattledot.bsky.social It looks like you are preparing to create a left turn pocket out of Rainier Valley Square, which is currently an illegal turn. See the signage below. This is a movement that has caused lots of crashes so discouraging to see it formalized.

In current state, it is poorly lit with minimal pedestrian facilities. Just a muddy gravel trail. No speed cushions and wide ROW means drivers bomb up and down, even on blind turns. It’s a popular bypass for Beacon or MLK.

Once we get the safety improvements in place and bicycle weekends improved on LWB, I wanna take a swing at Cheasty Blvd. This is an important route between Mt Baker/Rainier Valley and Beacon Hill. Will only be more important as the bike lanes stretch further south on Beacon.

They use something like this in the Presidio on Washington Blvd. It’s kinda halfassed though. I think this design could work well on Lake Washington Blvd and other park streets like Interlaken.

Yeah Stephen basically hit it on the head, and he deserves to be the first to say it in the press: “Bruce is fucking cooked”

The high on Monday is 59, which I think is within the realm of possibility.

When the neighbors rallied for Bradner Gardens, they used an initiative to protect not just their park but every park in perpetuity.

I think @alexis4seattle.bsky.social’s Better Bus Lanes campaign should aim for this level of durable policy impact.

It says “shortly” after 8, not “quarter” after 8!

I heard turnout was down but come on guys. Nobody voted? 😉

This place is gonna be lit tonight

Left turns have never been allowed! It’s always been signed this way.

It’s over summarized. Recent polling shows Wilson way ahead with lower income voters. Her opponents base is basically the wealthy.

Who was mayor when Partnership for Zero (2022-2023) failed? Who let funding lapse?

Here’s the bike plan for the transportation levy WA Bikes is so thrilled about. Only the purple lines are new protected bike lanes that will go to construction. Wide swaths of the city with zero commitment to bike connectivity improvements.
October 27, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Wow the bike lane on Airport Way is completely obstructed with zero signage indicating so anywhere. I got kettled in and had to walk against traffic for a ways to get around. @seattledot.bsky.social is definitely negligent here if someone gets hurt.

Makes the WABikes mailer even weirder. Because other than them all Bruce’s other early endorsers have been like

Interesting. Rep Chipalo Street in LD37, who Harrell has featured as an endorser since December, doesn’t include Bruce on his recommended ballot on Insta.

This is one of the dumbest paragraphs I’ve ever read. The vendors are THE draw on Occidental!! Do you know how many people stay on the train past Stadium and get off at CID *specifically* to stroll down Occidental??

The “flea market” vibe is the Golden Goose! And they want to kill it!

At the end of this article, reporting that the mayor all but confirms he was directly involved in the Union bus lane incident last month. Sounds like the threats to the G Line are broader than just that spot at Union.
