Games are awesome and have so much to offer. There’s too much negativity instead of criticism —strong believer that that there’s (almost) no place for negativity in gaming. This is a place for positive vibes. Join me!

PS. It’s a Gilmore Girls reference.
It’s so good! Genuinely one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, in my humble opinion.

Wholeheartedly agree. Genuinely cool and good games.

So many memories!! Would love to see them do something in this same area again.

I fucking love this game. Had my parents buy it based on the FF name alone. It wasn’t what I expected but I still thought it was a cool RPG, even as a kid.

Fester’s Quest and the TMNT’s are so great. Fester’s Quest especially. Love to see it mentioned! ♥️

Gemfire for the SNES. It is a fantasy area simulation game, kind of like Romance of the 3 Kingdoms. Very colorful, cool names, the 5th units and special wizards are fun, getting powered up by unicorns is awesome, the separate strategic battle maps are fun.

I rented it for entire summers.

Fantastic thread. I really enjoyed how different this one seemed compare to other RPGs I was aware of at the time, but I couldn’t put my finger on why. You captured it well. Thanks for sharing. ☺️

Nice! I think you picked smartly with Vamp Survivors. As you said, very easy to pick up and put down. It’s also one of those games where, yes, there’s a 100% to be had but it never really feels like you’re done? At least to me it’s like that. If you even get close to that. There’s soooo much game!

That must feel so frustrating for you. Is it like that no matter what games you play?
July 12, 2025 at 4:11 PM
For me, most of the time, it’s multiplayer with people I don’t know. With the limited time I have to game, 90% of the time, I want a nice single player game. The other rare 10% is a game that specifically lets me play with only my friends, usually smaller scale or even party style games.

This is some really cool stuff. Who knew? Thanks for sharing.

Oh nice. Just something I haven’t seen then, I am familiar-ish with many things on FF14. Thanks!

This seems like quite a feat! I don’t recognize the game. What is it?

D’oh, yes. 🤦‍♂️

That’s a good critique and I hear you on it. In my head it was an SRPG first with a bit more puzzle. In practice, it was a puzzle first with some SRPG. Luckily, they do a decent job of pacing so if you’re like me, the frequent injection of new abilities and characters helped a lot.

Such a fantastic game all around. How are you enjoying it?

Bahaha 😂 I love all this.
April 26, 2025 at 5:16 PM
I generally agree with you here. ☺️

This makes me curious cuz I see them used interchangeably.

What are the criteria for you? What differentiates a remake from a remaster for you?
April 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM
You will *love * it! The library simply cannot be beat, and Steam makes it very affordable — maybe *too* affordable. 😂 And emulation! And it’s portable! And the controls are amazingly flexible.

I gush but that’s because it’s so great.

Thank you so much for what you are doing. I wish others would join you in doing the same.

I hear you. It was a good way of expressing my love for the Wii. ☺️

Wii Sports should go down in history as the best sports game ever.
