Three maremma sheepdogs living life, getting pats, eating treats. Sometimes we tell jokes.

It'd be super cool if people could stop killing other people.
Apparently James Charles is in Australia. Given the serious allegations - and evidence - of him being a predator, @tonyburkemp.bsky.social would be well served to consider revoking his visa.

There is evidence of a 14 year old being pestered for intimate images, and being sent intimate images.

I remember when measles exposure sites in Australia were such a big deal that they were reported in the evening news and morning news broadcasts.

The anti-vax movement being louder doesn't equal subacute sclerosing panencephalitis being less deadly. Measles complications are real.

Old mate reckons brand new bed sheets and quilt cover aren't ours unless there's dog hair on them.

I guess it's true. He looks sincere (about being the first one on the new sheets).

The USA effectively declared a trade war against flightless Australian birds.

Last time a government went to war against flightless birds, the government lost.

@stephaniekelton.bsky.social How are you doing? Is now an appropriate time for a quick welfare check? Or was that (checks notes....) 5 tariff announcements ago?

Wondering why the ABC, a former bastion for free media and unafraid journalism, has no coverage of the US protests?

Kim Williams, who currently heads up Auntie, is a former CEO of News Corp and used to run Foxtel.

The ABC has absolutely NO NEWS COVERAGE AT ALL on the massive protests that happened overnight in the USA.

But there is a featured piece about MAFS.

I wonder what SBS has over on their website...

One of the most valuable products Australia exports to the USA is beef products used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, including vaccines. The USA can't use much of their own beef products for that because of the risk of BSE.

Aus's biosecurity is critical for global health outcomes.

5am to 10am Sydney time is the doom zone.

It's both "What's on for today in Australia?" and "has the world's most armed country collapsed into chaos?" AT THE SAME TIME.

I'll say it again. March 2025 has been the longest decade of my life.

1/ @legaleagle.tv @lizdye.bsky.social would "defence of another" hold in a court if say... a bunch of people were arrested for occupying runways to prevent planes leaving with human-trafficking victims?

Just hypothetically, how far would that kind if defence fly (pun intended)?

The 5-4 podcast is great.

www.fivefourpod.com

But when a podcast by lawyers recommends people in the US get Typhoid vaccinations because the Supreme Court ruled against the EPA in a shit-in-drinking-water case... it might just be prophetic.

5-4 is a podcast about how much the Supreme Court sucks. It’s a progressive and occasionally profane take on the ideological battles at the heart of the Court’s most importan...

We've got all sorts of issues, but the fact that most of our public and private sectors are reliant on a single US owned business is deeply troubling.

If AWS shut down and walked away there is no redundancy.
Talks of Australian sovereignty in regards to some submarines is a smoke screen.

Sovereignty over the ENTIRE public sector is at risk.

The Australian governments, state, territory, and federal use Amazon Web Services for pretty much everything.

Me after googling: "...holy shit."

Racism on display.
They blocked me after I called them out for their behaviour, then unblocked me long enough to call me a "creature" and try to gaslight me about my own heritage.
If anyone else can see where I identified as "white," please point me to it.
March 18, 2025 at 7:23 AM
This, this right here is racism.

Demanding a selfie to check that I'm blak enough to engage in a discussion about racism is racist. Demanding a selfie to verify my heritage is racism. Demanding a selfie so you can avoid engaging with my argument is racism.

Fascists and Nazis have never experienced the fear and anxiety that women and POC feel on a regular basis while just going about their daily lives.

That needs to change.

I am bad at photos and videos.

This orb weaver (New England region, NSW) used a rock as an anchor point. I drove through some of the low strands, and one of the strands dragged a rock up and over my car.

Even after I'd driven through it, the web was strong enough to hold and lift the rock.

STEP 1: Accost women in supermarkets. DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT.

STEP 2: Walk towards her, ensuring her escape blocked by unaffordable pre-made meals.

STEP 3: Declare that trickle-down economics, despite its complete failure in every single instance its been attempted, is a "solution".
