Misericorde: Volume One was a really strong start. Simple yet effective visuals, charming setting and a compelling protagonist. The [REDACTED] at end of it all made me go ????????, but I'm certainly intrigued to see where this all goes. I'll probably do a quick reread of Vol1 before starting Vol2.

A pretty standard revenge plot enhanced through stellar directing, colorful visuals and gnarly sound design. If you've seen The Substance, Coralie's debut film, you'll notice a lot of similarities. Warning: the movie contains one depiction of SA, but thankfully it's a short scene and not graphic.

A movie about a "nice guy" who has to learn how to confront women in his life who are manipulative and/or psychopathic. The female cast is killed off and utilized for the purpose of his "character development", growing into a proper man who will no longer let women take advantage of him. Atrocious.

Uh, that was bad. Very shallow and straightforward, but also super boring? If you're going to have a movie with a tired premise and zero meaningful exploration of that premise, then at least make it super unhinged and insane for the entertainment? Otherwise why in the world should anyone watch this?

Bong Joon-ho's "Mother" was fucking fantastic. It's hard to say why it's good without going into spoilers, but I'll just say it offers a compelling protagonist, a clever mystery and an ending that blew me away. Highly recommend.

After experiencing a few modern Castlevania entries, I finally checked out the one that started it all! Certainly a product of its time, and it took a bit to get accustomed to the movement, but I appreciated the simplicity of it all. Much more challenging than most CV games I've played. Good game!

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow was a decently fun time, a nice exploration-focused metroidvania, but I felt that it suffered from similar issues as Symphony, with loads of weapons that ended up feeling pointless and mostly pushover bosses. I did appreciate the soul system, and I liked the overall idea.

Ecclesia was super fun! I feel like the difficulty was balanced in much better way than in Symphony, with the game encouraging you to switch between different weapons for different enemies. Really interesting weapon system, cute hub area, and decently challenging too! Definitely recommend :)

I greatly enjoyed Fleabag! A very short series that I almost wish was longer, but the show does so much within its limited timeframe that I'm not even upet. A witty story about love and self-love, full of hilarious dialogue and equally heart-wrenching moments. Highly recommend!

S1 was fun! maomao is a charming protagonist who is deeply aware of the world she lives in, and does her best to uphold her own values without stepping on someone's else toes. the series is at its strongest with its empathetic depiction of women's lives and hardships in a patriarchal system.

Well-crafted game with an insane amount of secrets to discover, but also kinda troubling without a guide. *Much* easier than Rondo of Blood, to the point it felt like a legit balancing issue. On some level, I can probably rationalize this approach, but I do wish the difficulty was balanced better.

Watched "Godzilla Minus One". That was a fantastic movie! Nicely written, compelling character drama with a well-earned, cathartic conclusion. I highly recommend this to you even if you may not be a fan of Godzilla or monster movies, it certainly lived up to the hype, imho.

Ryukishi retweeted, so this is likely the new project to be announced tomorrow. No Ciconia Phase 2.
