I also wonder how the times of release will play a roll. More generic models may look more suspicious after comparing Ghamak's order of releases with GW model reveals.

Then there's stuff like a big lizard & lizardmen, fine, but there's 1 long lizard with an alternate head & 3 dudes with sticks.

For awhile, they were being smart with their proxies by adding a "theme" to distance themselves from the originals - Japanese Skaven & Drukhari, Soviet Sisters of Battle, & Persian Ogors, but...

they got complacent...

I've been keeping track of Primaris Lieutenants, Sergeants, & Captains released & including chapter specific models

L: 17
S: 4
C: 17

This does not include bespoke character models like Titus or Chapter Masters. That'd be

L: 18
S: 4
C: 23
CM: 6

But, at least there's other stuff on the horizon...

Possessed by a Greater Daemon & yet less mutated then a regular Possessed, let alone a Greater Possessed...

Dude's possessed by a Bloodthirster! He should have hooves, digitigrade legs, a beastly face, hell, at least give him horns!! Anything!

Don't worry! They've recently expanded their enemy variety with the addition of... TZAANGOR ENLIGHTENED!

Wooh, more Tzaangors...

(I have a sneaking suspicion that most future enemies will be Tyranids, maybe a few daemons if we're lucky)

I love the wackiness of some of the old Rogue Trader miniatures.
These 2 are some of my favorites & I hope they'll be used for inspiration in future model releases.
(1 of the Eightbound models should've had a buzz saw tail)
Chaos models deserve to be a little silly.

The T'au Ethereal Anniversary model has small "ear-holes", but yeah, every other model either has something covering those spots or is an old Ethereal model with nothing there at all.

At least their waists aren't as disproportionately bad as Allarus Custodians, who I think might be thinner then regular Custodians Guards.
