Twice last night we took in someone who wanted to by pass the waiting room for a non-emergency care. (Rash between the toes, feeling sick for two days)
Both went right to the waiting room.
One left, called 911 to be taken to a different hospital #EMSlife

It is considered wise to have life insurance, house insurance, and car insurance.
But crazy to have food insurance?
Canning, drying, freezing are insurance.
Everyone can build up a food storage.
Just get one extra can more than you will use every time you shop.
Buy three, use two.

Opportunity for a good secure union job.
You work an average of two days a week and pull 96 hours per pay check. That’s all straight time, overtime does not start till you work 53 hours in a week.
But you get to save lives!

To make the wife happy on Veterans Day, here is me in 1991 and 2023
For some reason she like me then and now.
I think it’s the pension, she says she earned it putting up with 22+ years and eight deployments.

Job openings.
The part-time start is a trial before offering a full time position. Usually 2 to 3 months.
EMT $39,000
AEMT $47,000
Paramedic $55,000
The big part, beyond the saving lives, is using the state protocols that allow you to do patient care!

Good luck Starbucks workers.

Don’t give in to poor pay and long hours. Or fall for the claim you are helping others and that should be your driving focus.

Lost in all the news out of #Louisville and the #UPScrash is some amazing good news.

For just under 7 months Louisville Metro EMS has been carrying whole blood on some ambulances.

Many said it was not doable or would make no effect.

51 people have been helped!

The #UPScrash from my buddies ambulance at the airport and my backyard
Almost half the area ambulances were sent to the crash site
The next call: “sick person, x3 days, nausea”
And they were upset we would not transport across the county, only to the closest appropriate hospital

View from the house five minutes after it shook.
UPS plane heading to Honolulu crashed a little under two miles from the house. But it shook it like it was next door.
On shelter in place orders now.

Average because some areas are almost 60%.
In 2000 less than 19 million people were on food stamps, now it’s over 42 million with 25% of that since 2019.
Two years ago there was a major push to get people to apply for food stamps with ads on the radio and billboards.
It was successful.

Somehow the party is not getting the message out.
Or is motivating people on the side to oppose the current effort.
Why would the support for the GOP go up from independents?
