Hi I'm Büşra👋 I love building digital products without coding. At this point, I'm running a matcha business, building a product metrics course ecosystem, and experimenting with a bunch of other ideas. While being a product coach & trainer. I'm here to share challenges, learnings, progress, thoughts.
Liebes #SRF Team.

Accessibility gone wrong: Substack makes you pay for listening to a newsletter article.

Basically means: If you have issues with your eyes - ranging from temporary eye infection to being blind - you have to pay.

That's a masterpiece of inaccessibility.

Well done Substack 👏

Organic certified - yesssss! After 4 years we finally made the step! Now we can officially call ourselves organic AND we can sell to the European Union. After connecting to a fulfillment center in the last quarter, another milestone achieved for growth and scale 🚀

Wow. Biggest dictatorship in the world gone crazy. To be very honest I have never been so afraid of the near future like I am today. For myself my family and the rest of the world. It starts with children well were born there and now continues with the poor souls in Gaza. I'm so sad and so fearful 🙁

@support.bsky.team what's this trend of people mass-following others from starter packs only to spread their political views? I don't want to be spammed by political views. It looks like bots, can't imagine that it's real humans. I'm tired of blocking them.

Where are the Indie Hackers and micro-business solopreneuers or entrepreneurs hanging out here?

Okay, now that we're thinking about Substack and both its cultural influence and its business model, can I walk you all through the economics? Because they make no sense, and we can use that to predict how things are going to go... (Caution:🧵)

If you really want to build good products as a PM, don't be the "CEO of the product". Be an entrepreneur: No budget, no authority, lead & convince through influence, passionate about solving real problems in a way that your target group throws money at you to use the product. Truly OWN the product.

People keep asking if I'm interested in writing a book. I keep saying "no". Should I say yes?

I don't know what to write about. I don't want to write "yet another product management book" only to be considered a "thought leader".

What are your questions that you haven't found answers to in a book?

+18 bots have discovered @bsky.app 🙄 I'm busy with blocking, I'll be back in a year or so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Half kidding. I'm sure it's gonna take longer to finish blocking.

If you can't sell it, don't build it.

The bootstrapper's mantra is ruling the market.

As a bootstrapper I love this! Bc it forces you to move in a hypothesis-driven way and treat every release as an experiment.

2025 will be full of advice on how to do this to make and save $$$

Incl. from me 🤓

Switzerland is an interesting case study on market dynamics. In anything that exists, there's either a duopoly or monopoly. If you want to enter the market you need their support. E.g. all retailers work with either Coop or Migros. Need a crash course in strategy in difficult markets? Work in CH.

Happy New Year. Has someone already created a product management feed to follow? If yes, how can we contribute, which hashtag?

Grief in Germany during Christmas time 😔 Magdeburg we stand by 💔

When far rights don't even stop at Christmas festivities which they claim they wanted to save 😢

Extreme is extreme, and dangerous and dangerous. No matter which "camp" the extreme is in.

First Berlin, now Magdeburg 😢💔

Hot take: The Blue-Oceanification of everything is the root cause for our endless terminology debates in product management.

Because business people rather invent new categories to own instead of competing in existing markets.

Definition of "invasion", Cambridge: an occasion when an army or country uses force to enter and take control of another country.

China invades Hong Kong. Gets "criticized" but nothing happens.

They assimilate Uyghurs and neglect Tibetan terrier. Nothing happens.

Yet another discussion about wording...

Kill me....

Can we stop debating about nomenclature and start executing please?

I slowly understand Marty Cagan's point about good willing people trying to help but rather do harm because they simply don't know better...

I'm slowly getting paranoid. Caught myself being hesitant to share my best LinkedIn posts about the North Star Metric framework, fearing that specific people might steal my content to turn it to something that they'd claim it's theirs.

A dogmatic "problem first" approach to building products is very romantic.

Unpopular truth: Product Discovery CAN start with a solution!

Important is that you take it as a starting point.

And doing so will take you to the problem space automatically.

"Pragmatic" is my word of the year.

Many of my clients' product teams are "pragmatic" 😁

Hahahaha best description ever 😂🤣

Büşra: Like a blend of fine matcha and strong coffee - energizing yet calming. 🤣

My new nickname: The Product Philosopher 🤓

Though it goes completely counter my claim that I make abstract product theory tangible and practical 😁
