it’s a paperwhite 3 if you care, and i have taken this thing with me everywhere i went after i got it. the whole concept of an e-ink display is super cool, and it’s nice to finally have one. i also have my music stuff on it. this thing is basically just a pdf reader to me, but it’s an amazing one.

i honestly can’t believe it’s been 10 years since they released it, i remember seeing that annoying little popup that would tell you that there’s a free upgrade available if you’re on windows 7 and ignoring it, and now it’s all gone!

the british version of decluttr is still up, if there wasn't any reason to hate being american before there is now...

here's another update, i finished the star textures! the ratings graph looks nearly identical to how it used to look, and it only took a stupid amount of time to do...

good news, i got the purchase buttons to (mostly) work! i still have to work out if i can get the icons to appear, but that's a little above my paygrade.

here’s one more bit of good news, out of the actually 180 photos i recovered, i managed to get the one photo that might’ve been the best photo i’ve ever taken, THANK GOD. if i lost that one i might’ve actually cried

bad news, most of them WEREN'T still there, i was only able to get 170 of my photos out of the possible 1,000. that's all i'm gonna be able to get, because i don't know how the hell to recover photos off my google pixel.

good news, i used a totally legally-obtained copy of disk drill on my mac to recover the files off the sd card and most of them are still there! moral of the story: never trust google.
