If my neighbour put a sign like that in their garden I'd call the police and tell them to dig up the patio.
This might be an American thing, but she seems like a miserable sack of shit

Agree with this totally
🧵This from @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social links to probably biggest thing I've changed my mind on in last 5 years: the merits of working (or study) from home. Initially in post pandemic rows on it I tended to think loud critics of WFH were opening another culture war front & many did frame it that way!

There is something at the heart of this story that doesn’t add up, legally speaking.

My dad, experiencing The Cure on Top Of The Pops for the first time in 1983: "Jesus, if that's The Cure ah widnae like tae huv the disease."
Using this as a start: what are your favorite examples of unconscious/unforced dad-or-mom shade about your musical tastes? Just something said immediately or off the cuff. Spill all your secrets!
I want to say, when I was a kid, shortly after we got cable, we were watching MTV (obviously back when they actually played music videos) and something by Aerosmith was playing.

My father, walking through the room said, "Is that Mick Jagger? No, wait, not ugly enough. Can't be him."

My reclusive, extremely tight grandad left the house once a week to walk from Seaham to Sunderland and back to get shopping. We found out after he died that he'd once gone to the Philippines, married a mail order bride and then came home and pretended it never happened when she couldn't get a visa
Give me one interesting fact about your family history that you learned.
