I’m not saying there’s NO room for assist with how to query orders and regs or to help speed up common formatting. But any idea that AI is going to be an easy button is just brain drain. Doing the damn thing over and over is how you build expertise.

You do things like planning, AARs, awards, fitreps/evals, orders, directives because it forces you to understand what the hell you are talking about.

The profession of arms will die if we stop forcing officers and SNCOs to be proficient at writing and thinking critically. I’m not saying there’s no place for GenAI, but we can’t surrender writing altogether to it.
