"cook" is such a versatile word. you've got the standard meanings (verb: make food, noun: person who makes food) but i also see cook as a verb to mean "have good/controversial ideas or actions" maybe associated with a sort of covert prestige ? or humour ?

english language is my favourite subject and im so glad we have it at my school but being in a room full of 17-18 year olds talking about non-discriminatory language and identity can be pretty tiring
