Let me get this straight. Maxwell spent days meeting with the Justice Department and didn't implicate anyone. But she got moved to a minimum security prison anyway.

So, what exactly was she rewarded for?

This ought to be a scandal, but it seems like nobody cares.

People should be calling this what it is, which is a crypto bailout. They're cutting cancer research so they can bailout rich, degenerate gamblers bsky.app/profile/ronf...
Let’s see, Donald Trump launched his crypto business right before taking office. Melania did the day before the inauguration. Junior launched a new one too. Oh, and of course Eric did.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

These “respectable” conservatives are building and perpetuating a permission structure that allows people who don’t think of themselves as supporters of rightwing extremism to support rightwing extremism nonetheless.

That is the role they are playing. That’s their legacy.
Ridiculous piece from National Review’s editor-in-chief Rich Lowry in the NYT yesterday: “Trump Can Win on Character.” Ok!

I wrote about his utterly disingenuous anti-anti-Trumpism, and how it is paving the way for authoritarianism, a while back:
