How heartbreaking. Maria Zaitseva, a 24-year-old Belarusian, was killed while defending Ukraine as part of the 2nd International Legion. She was gravely injured during the 2020 protests in Belarus, spent a long time recovering in Czechia, and could not return to her homeland.
