But I was so separate in being from that feather. The feather was very much Other – totally not-me. I never felt that I could ever have my own feathers, or fly.

When I was a kid, I would find a single feather and be enraptured at the texture of the stiff-but-floppy barbs, explore how the barbs stick together but can separate (and make little zizzy noises when rubbed), and think about how these weird little things could help a creature fly.

I think that the attorney for Spring argued that because the police left out of their report that the liquid which touched a cop was water, when they knew it was water, that as a sanction the charge arising from the water squirt should be dropped. But I haven't read the motion nor heard argument.

I don't recall offhand what happened to the abductee and her family. If I can find an update on them, I will post.
Once my current hearing is done, I am hoping to go observe the motion to dismiss.

I did not know this was happening until I saw the support/protest group in front of the courthouse.
Nothing to do at this moment, but have thoughts of support and follow up afterward.

As far I'm concerned, if they refuse to produce a valid warrant and refuse to identify themselves so that police can verify they are legit, cops have cause sufficient to detain, disarm, and search these thugs, followed by arrest and criminal charges if they lack even a veneer of authority.

I can't find it free online, but if you can, or want to indulge, Sportsnight is another well-written, amazing show that has nothing to do with sports, except when the sports are being used as a metaphor. The inspiration for naming my law firm came from the final episode of Sportsnight.
