My doctor didn't say anything about effects of the vaccine, but the nurse who gave me the the first shot did. Thanks to him, I was ready to accept what came (fever, chills, fatigue) for the next 18 hours.

MUCH better that than suffer with shingles.

I inherited rolling hand veins from my mother, apparently, so getting an IV in the back of my hand is a nightmare because they have to work at getting the needle in and the process triggers a vasovagal reponse for me.

Omg, this. I tried to find footage of the eruption of Mount Pinatubo for some students who weren't alive last century. Almost every "video" was a crappy pastiche of AI slop and footage of other events, accompanied by a voiceover that sounded like a movie trailer.

This news item from 1835 seems to suggest that all the major planets out to the orbit of Uranus (here called Herschel) were included, as well as some of the asteroids. Neptune wasn't discovered until 1846, so it wasn't known to Fulton when he made the orrery. archive.spectator.co.uk/article/6th-...
