The Indictment: Gavin Rivers Weisenberg, 21, of Allen, and Tanner Christopher Thomas, 20, of Argyle, have been indicted by a grand jury on counts of conspiracy to murder, maim, or kidnap in a foreign country and production of child pornography. The charges were given for the pair's extensive plans to travel to Gonave Island, which is part of the Republic of Haiti, to attempt a coup de'état, the documents say. Weisenberg and Thomas prepared from August 2024 to July 2025 to execute their plans, in which they allegedly intend to buy a boat, sail to Gonave Island, kill every man on the island, overtake it by force, and take the women and children as sex slaves. Gonave Island has a population of about 87,000.

You can get a Google Translate extension for your web browser that will translate between languages with the click of the translate icon in the address bar. It's not perfect, but you can certainly get the gist. This is part of the homepage in English:

Yes, as soon as there were radar data available showing specific areas of heavy rainfall. See alerts.weather.gov/search?histo... But IMO if you live in an area that's flooded before, it shouldn't come as a complete surprise that it would flood again in heavy rain.

One example where I *wish* AI were put to more use is with genealogy companies, so that I would stop getting email notifications like this. (FTR, the person mentioned below was born circa 1588.)

I think he can see it quite well, and he's trying to pretend that it doesn't exist for other reasons.
From the bio page on his personal website: "I am a professor of Computer Science at Harvard University, and a member of the Harvard SEAS Theory of Computing group. Previously, I was a principal researcher at Microsoft Research New England, and before that I was an associate professor (with tenure) at Princeton University’s Computer Science department. I hold a Ph.D from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. I am currently on leave from Harvard and at OpenAI, where I am a member of the technical staff, working on safety and alignment. "I am a theoretical computer scientist, and have worked on computational complexity, algorithms, cryptography, quantum computing. I saw that there were an estimated 18 million votes *fewer* this year than 2020. I'm really curious to know how many people wrote in some random candidate, or simply left the presidential line on their ballots blank.
