We're ready.

Americans should be ready too. They are not prepared for a war in their own backyard against an enemy that is indistinguishable from them.

Ugh I also have to consider "was it made/grown in the USA," because if it was, it's off the list regardless of how much cheaper it is.

"Ebike commute" is definitely an excellent way to save a bunch of money though.

"e-bike capable of up to 45 miles per hour"

Oh so not an ebike at all, then.

The most shocking part of this is that you were able to achieve the speed limit in Toronto.

So bikes on the sidewalk are an unforgivable outrage, but people are just fine with these things? 🙄

More like "how can we take the 'busting your ass constantly' part out of cycling so more people will use bikes?"

It worked, too.

I didn't know that there were cities that didn't have these.

**Except maybe in Alberta

LOL crazy doesn't win elections in Canada.

Only kits I'd trust are the ones from Grin Technologies.

I went full-on heated gloves this weekend. Gonna be a loooong winter.

You're doing fantastic compared to me. My graph looks like the new rollercoaster at Six Flags.

Jokes tend to be funny though.

Ebikes don't go 35 mph. If they do, they're not ebikes. They are electric motorcycles that are being illegally driven on streets.
November 7, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Let's just ignore the endless stream of motor vehicle fatalities and focus on the handful of ebike injuries, most of which are caused by interactions with motor vehicles.

These e-motos are already illegal, so not quite sure what's going on with enforcement.

Ebikes, on the other hand, could be Toronto's saviour as far as gridlock is concerned.

Best thing about winter - it never rains!
November 7, 2025 at 6:59 PM
It reaches -35 C where I live. People still cycle as their primary form of transportation.

Bikes still work on snow and when it is cold.

In a large city with heavy traffic, it's just a blur of solid lights everywhere and nothing stands out. You put a blinking light on your bike and people will notice it through the cacophony of light.
