To America’s 2.3 million federal employees:

Don’t accept a buyout.

Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer.

And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it?

@tconrad.bsky.social welcome to the real sir. We are rooting for you to make @Sonos great again. No sense in having great hardware when the software is crap.

There’s a theory called the Dunning–Kruger effect. This states that stupid people have a cognitive bias resulting in a lack of self awareness, leading them to overestimate their ability at a certain tasks. Essentially dumb people are wrong about themselves & about much of what goes on around them.

Everyone's favorite weird little world Pluto has an outsized moon called Charon. It's huge, half the size of Pluto itself! But…how did it get there?

Here's a new idea: Pluto wasn't just whacked by another object, it underwent a kiss-and-capture.

Pluto’s huge moon Charon may have formed as part of a kiss and run
Instead of a massive collision shattering the impactor, it may have merely allowed Pluto to hang out with it a little while before forming an actual moon

If this year taught us anything, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.

I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.
