My favorite analogy for explaining why LA is great to people who spend a week or two & don’t get it: LA is like reading War & Peace, if you only read a dozen pages you’re not going to get what it’s about. Every place is a page and until you’ve read 1000+ you’re going to miss the forest for the trees

When I saw ‘Barbenheimer’ -both movies in the same day- in the Netherlands it was unexpectedly funny because both movies randomly have very brief scenes where the protagonist is in the Netherlands. Oddly surreal
