It’s amazing that the Linux community gaslit themselves into thinking they’re the problem instead of the scotch tape and bubblegum that’s holding their specific flavor of a clone of an OS from the 1960s together.

a PSA since a lot of folks have been surprised to learn this: terminal programs often support the mouse! Try:
- opening `htop` and clicking a column header to sort
- opening `nano` (or vim, or micro) and clicking and dragging to select text
- using the scroll wheel in `mc`
