Kaworu is in one episode of Eva and you would NOT know that by looking online

I watched this for the first time recently and I was totally unprepared for it being essentially a hippie movie, complete with numerous song segments and psychedelia.

This, in particular, is such a marker of Japanese video game translation and I never realized it until just now. I'm flashing back to all the times I have seen it like the plot twist in Bioshock.

This has been on my list for forever. Will live vicariously through your thread

Fantastic movie and especially fantastic performance from Hemmings.

My read on it is that by participating in the fake tennis match, it shows that he has decided to live in the world of fantasy instead of continuing to try and solve the murder.

In the Q&A section of one of those live streams I remember they implied it was their best selling release ever, so I get it, it probably pays for some of the weirder stuff.
