Southern Erie County, as well as Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties, can expect a foot to 18" of snow between today and 7 PM Sunday. However, if you are traveling towards Oswego or Watertown be prepared to drive through some very heavy lake effect snow bands with up to 3 feet of snow predicted.

🔔 8:15 PM update from the Erie County Department of Public Works on snow removal efforts: Please stay off roads in areas with travel bans & avoid unnecessary travel in areas with travel advisories. We have trucks & heavy equipment hard at work—they need plenty of room to operate safely!

Heavy snow this morning in Buffalo metro falling at 1-2 inches per hour. Wind gusts up to 45 mph. Poor visibility with blowing snow. Use caution if driving.
