This is a direct result of the normalization of Trump and male social media influencers being right-wing coded. I understand this is going to take some time to drill into, but I really hope Democrats are taking this as seriously as they should and are actively working to address it

He’s literally attempted to overturn an election and has said multiple times he’s open to a 3rd term. I don’t buy that the average voter is okay with the consequences of this — when do people finally start to take this seriously?

Good points made by both Stancil and Cuban here. With social media, it’s a whole new ballgame and Dems need to adjust. Luckily for them, Trump produces endless content and narratives for them to try out. They need to start implementing this now, already plenty from Trump’s first few days

In London for a work trip and extending to Amsterdam. Taking the train and while waiting, a woman struck up a conversation when she realized my wife and I were American. “The best you can do is a convicted felon and a guy who can’t stand?” Just a total embarrassment right now

Day 2 but have already shifted a fair bit of my activity to here. It’s nice having somewhere else online to go after seeing a toxic comment or post. Instead of engaging with the toxicity and getting worked up, just close Twitter and come here
