Ok, I get Derrick having no sympathy.Given his history, why would Anyone expect it? But he appears to be celebrating paying to deport somebody who presumably up until now has been productive within the US economy & paying taxes? That I struggle to understand from somebody who was helping run the US

Anyone want to tell him what the Weimar Republic was and what followed it?

Ten people in hospital, nine with “life changing injuries,” but hey….
Imagine waking up this morning to read what you’d posted in your cups on a Saturday night.

Great to see a ‘Tonka,’ still flying and looks like @luftwaffe.bundeswehr.de might have done #Malta proud by staying on and doing the airshow display trashed by yesterday’s weather. (Shame the pic doesn’t do the Tornado and Typhoon justice)!
Now where are the Red Arrows?

I know what it is!
Then checks the poster’s profile.
“Is it ‘The Cabin in the Woods’?”

Another great read from Mr R and spoiler alert - there’s a little known fact about his own role in Eurovision!
Born behind the Iron Curtain, it's back. The Intervision Song Contest has been brought back to life by the Kremlin. My piece for BBC News about politics and pop. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Intervision 2025 - Russia hosts Putin's answer to Eurovision
Putin resurrects a Soviet-era global song contest, to distract from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

People can argue all they like about climate change, but I don’t think I’ve ever got as wet as I did filming this….

I don’t doubt tosh like this happened before social media, but did it really need to be placed on steroids by the likes of Elon Musk?
September 2, 2025 at 8:00 AM
And that’s just one of the reasons why I’ve been an @nujofficial.bsky.social member for 41 years next month.
Wages of unionized workers are 13% higher than their nonunion counterparts.

But unions also set a higher pay standard that all workers enjoy.

In high-union-density states, median household income is $12,000 higher than in low-union-density states.

This is why unions are vital.

Interesting conversation going on in Musk’s playground.
A confluence between those in favour of this proposition proponents of “parliamentary sovereignty.”
Interesting the stand out was a self declared ‘fascist,’ who understood having a wealthy foreign businessman run the country, wasn’t compatible.

Let me guess. This is just “freedom of speech,” as far as #SpaceKaren is concerned. I mean the follow- up is people should follow MPs to their home, so the man who got upset when people used apps that showed the whereabout of his private jet will be just fine!

Opposite sides of the pond…

“I once got into a strangers car,” and it’s the fault of the app that sent me the reg, make and model of the car!
Maybe the real excuse is that “their drivers all look the same” and let’s be honest, that says rather more about the user than their drivers..

I do love journalists who cannot comprehend the English language.
If this is a bar on criticism of the listed topics, this chap must think they also want people not to be critical of child sex abuse.
The act, of course, is intended to hamper the promotion/facilitation of activities on the list.

Maybe the lady’s point @mrjamesob.bsky.social is that while the billions have gone to investors, she’s the one being asked to help customers in trouble?

Funny how all those agreeing “never did me any harm,” have timelines that show distinctly unbalanced personalities.

The bare wall, decorated with a careworn flag - it’s not exactly saying a land of milk and honey on @mrjamesob.bsky.social DH-day.

I often see people saying Britain has fallen. I didn’t get it until I saw these posts from those who like to hark back to a past of stout hearted yeomen…

Why you shouldn’t go on social media A, in the middle of the night and B when you have little knowledge of what you are talking about. This, another prime example after recent events in the UK.

The same people who say there’s no such thing as ‘white privilege’ appear to be advocating for it, in the case of #Harvard

The other place summed up in two tweets. Both right of centre “commentators.” One has sparked fury in his followers, the other is considered such a hoot.

Does anybody who reads the Observer enjoy the footie and buy their paper at Sainsbury’s?

You can almost smell the desperation as visitor numbers fall off a cliff.

I struggle with posts advertising material behind paywalls. On sites where analysis and opinions are shared freely, they always make me think they are oddly out of place.
"It seems a matter of time before other less besieged western legal systems hear petitions by US citizens for asylum." My column on an Oval Office meeting that was every bit as chilling as the assault on Zelenskyy in late February. www.ft.com/content/4c4b...
