But what about the Mitch McConnells, etc.? You can't disqualify someone based on age, so there needs to be assurances that people won't be in there for 30 years, especially since we have lobbyists and Citizens United.

It would take a Constitutional amendment since it was written so that turnover wasn't as frequent & keep the validity of elections true. A better solution, IMO, would be to put term limits in all of politics. You got 2 terms as a senator, 4 in the House, & reduce SCOTUS life-terms to 15 years.

I used to travel quite a bit. But, with ICE and my being brown, I'm not leaving the country until they're gone (unless it's to emigrate, which is not completely off the table).

But, Canada had a few things I'd never tried before. Ketchup-flavored anything was new for sure... Let me know if there's anything you want to try from the US.

I believe good ole Chuck not only knew about this, but ensured that the folks who were not up for reelection in 26 were the ones to flip. I'd bet money he orchestrated the whole thing, waiting until after the elections to give them the green light. It's far too calculated to be happenstance, IMO.
