💯 If minimum wage had kept pace since the late 1960s, it would be $23 to $26/hr today.
In 1973 @ $1.60/hr, you could rent a 1-bdm apt, and still have $59 after taxes. Today mw of $7.25/hr, you're already -$536/mo. just for rent. And, these are 2023 numbers.
It truly is slave labor. 😞😡

But, Canada had a few things I'd never tried before. Ketchup-flavored anything was new for sure... Let me know if there's anything you want to try from the US.
