To be clear, Russia isn’t running out of Rubles; they’re running out of resources. The Russian Gov can access 100% of their domestic resources, but spending more Rubles will not create steal or oil out of thin air.
Russian CAN afford anything it needs, but they can’t purchase everything it needs.

My wife and I lost our senior cat this year. And when we went to look for urns, we found a Ukrainian artist still selling hand painted urns. I was so moved that people can continue to create such beauty amidst such suffering. SLAVA UKRAINE!

It’s important to tax extreme wealth to address income inequality and the inflationary effects of federal spending. But the UK is a monetarily sovereign nation. They don’t need taxes to ‘pay for’ anything.
