Yesterday I was invited to speak with a group of Beloiters about our City’s new Police Chief and the issues facing Rock County. We discussed the need to address homelessness in both children and adults, supporting treatment courts, and concerns over attempts to privatize Rock Haven.

Today I am announcing my candidacy for the Rock County Board of Supervisors for District 11. And I'm incredibly proud to have Beloit's own Judy Robson as my campaign treasurer.

If you believe in this vision outlined below, I’d be honored to have your vote.

This morning I had to make a quick stop along Vets Roll Dr to rescue this fellow. We just called Fellow Mortals and hope to get this little one the care they need. I suspect it’s a broken leg.

On Monday, I was proud to vote to hire MGT to help Beloit with our search for a new Police Chief. Our consultants are even former Cheifs of Police.

MGT helped us hire Chief Sayles, and their police experts are active in positive and necessary police reform efforts.

I first got to meet Governor Tony Evers in Feb of 2013 when he was running for re-election as our state’s Superintendent of Public Schools. I haven’t always agreed with him, but I’ve been DAMN PROUD to call him my Governor.

Great news across WI and for the City of Beloit.

While I’m quite disappointed the Beloit School Referendum failed by 141 votes out of I’ve 9,000 ballots cased, this is a huge improvement from just last year.

Also sad Kenda and Gregg lost, but so happy Megan is returning to the Board.

Tour of the Stanley Hotel, where Steven King stayed and was inspired to write The Shining. That’s the actual axe from the movie, made of styrofoam and wrapped in aluminum foil. Coincidentally, the hotel also has a Pet Cemetery.
