De fietsflat is werelderfgoed en deze sloop is m.i. een beetje een schande.

This is actually the only even slightly substantive criticism I have of @waatcoconut.bsky.social's academic pageturner, Gods, guns and missionaries. What a vitally fascinating and well written work!

Don't get me wrong, it's just one win, it's NYC etc but symbolically this can help fuel the fight back and show that the alternative to the far right does not have to be found in its mainstream enablers and in the "serious" status quo that's fuelling the polycrisis

Okay. I use AI systems on accasion to do handwriting recognition on hard to read letters written in foreign languages sometimes.

It makes COLLOSSAL amounts of mistakes. Annoyingly, it hallucinates bullshit rather than tell me it can't read a thing. Still use it to quickly glance the subject.

If the US two party system and the Democratic party have any future, it is a powerful shift to a pro-social, anti-capital, young people-led movement.

It requires good policies, genuine beliefs and genuine charisma. Mamdani has that in spades.

I think we should all try to be more like him.

Lots of people dodging this question, unsurprisingly, but I'll step up: AI has been amazing, like game-changingly amazing, at introducing inexplicable errors into my research. I have also used it to make my writing more stilted and boring. And guess what? It's only getting better at all that.
