this was somewhat stressful to debug so i am putting the knowledge fragment out into the ether and hopefully this will be fixed or documented eventually

i'm sure this is already a thing, but it got me thinking about how easy and useful it would be to make tooling around common or standardized shapes, like a web app or something that helps you create various sdk compliant shapes to import into inkscape to work off of as a canvas
