Who says you can’t sleep with your eyes open?

You forget how loud these green guys can get in the summer

We recently had friends over for dinner on the back deck and then we enjoyed a fire on the side garden with roasted and burnt marshmallows

We have several blueberry bushes on our upper hill. One early variety already gave us a couple of bowls of blueberries until either the little bear we have had to chase off or the deer found it. So far they haven’t touched the green ones on the other two bushes.

Warren is smoking a chuck roast which we found is much better on the smoker than a leaner cut of meat. Oh my, the meat smells heavenly.

My husband is an incredible woodworker. He took scraps of wood from his guitar making to make me this cutting board

We have a very small and shady garden but we really enjoy the fire pit with a bottle of wine and some snacks. Can you tell I’m ready for spring!
