This might be a dumb question but how did this SAVE money? The process to convert them costs money and it appears the storage might also cost more money.
How Will DOGE Save $1M Per Year By Converting From Magnetic Tape?
It is not clear how DOGE will save $1M per year conventing from magnetic tape unless they are converting to more modern magnetic tape for archive storage.
