You can ask them to refer you to another therapist or you can choose your own.
I'm a therapist in training and I try to convey all these options to clients. The client's healing is the priority and if we're not a good match then I want to help them find a good therapist for them.

So sorry, it takes so much effort to begin therapy.
The therapist may not have created a plan yet as they're learning more about you. You can ask them what their plan is and let them know if you agree with that course of treatment. It's all about you - and that's what's important.+
