Checking this place out. I'm sometimes thoughtful, sometimes reactionary and negative, sometimes naively positive, always human.

So, diversified investing is now 50 percent fixed between US and developed bonds, 30 percent Europe stocks and Asia stocks, 10 percent emerging stocks and 10 percent US large cap?

I fail to see a portfolio other than that that makes sense.

I remember those terrible days when all we feared was an adverse supreme court ruling.

This is going to get worse before it gets better. And no, turning down the temperature won't help.

The thermometer at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave will always be set at 100.

Look, it's appropriate to figure out if a story, or theory, or quote, or conclusion is true before you post it.

I think all sides would be better if more folks did this.

You sure it wasn't "you must apologize," "(whispers) you must apologize?" "Mumble mumble mumble."
Sinclair is demanding that Kimmel apologize to the family (?) and also "make a meaningful personal donation to the Kirk Family and Turning Point USA"

Are you fucking kidding me? It's not enough they got him fired, they want him to grovel and send money to these anti-free speech grifters?
#BREAKING: Sinclair says it will air a one-hour tribute to Charlie Kirk on its ABC-affiliated stations in the time slot that is usually occupied for "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The special will air on Friday, per a Sinclair spokesperson.

We can all see Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer. But if you don't think the #Democrats are wildly outmatched, spend some time researching literally any local politician from a major US city/county.

This isn't Eagles vs Chiefs, it's Eagles vs. Bears.

The party is cooked.

I used it because it served me timely posts from smart, connected people. BlueSky hasn’t brought those people over.
