Many have no idea what socialism is, just that the propaganda channels assure them it's bad because the libs (evil, demonic) want it. The ones slightly more aware are offended at the idea of sharing social safety nets with brown people, and feel burning the country down is preferable.

I like how there's a Fullmetal Alchemist reference in there--I'm assuming because Edward Elric is shown to write with his left hand. He's a rare example of forced left-handedness! (His prosthetic hand lacks the required fine motor skills.) We gladly claim him anyway.

This was the instant my mom decided he was repulsive but I somehow missed it, can't even remember how soon after that something he said pinged on my radar. I guess just him being a billionaire alone had me wary already, really. (Neither of us own swasticars tho.)

Anyway, my point is that "colleges brainwash people into lih'bruls" is moot entirely because I think it all just comes down to being around a lot of different kinds of people. Suddenly all those "others" are just like you and me. Colleges and big cities inherently provide this environment.

Early last year I moved from a very blue state to a red one, but I live near and work downtown in a big city. Zero culture shift that I noticed outside of Trump signs on some neighbors' yards (which disappeared instantly after the election). And snow.
