Optimising care (eg right medicines, patients fit enough for their op, reducing RTT waits), addressing prevention of ill-health and health inequalities are all critical to better patient outcomes and reducing (and/or mitigating against rising demand) healthcare costs and the carbon footprint.

90 million adults didn’t vote

How history changes on a whim
Trump is slipping farther and farther below 50%. He now leads by only 1.6%—and his vote advantage is under 2.5M. One of the narrower victories of the last 100 years of American politics, and any journalist or politico using the term mandate probably needs to retire from their profession immediately.
