artists hold immeasurable storytelling power. well-educated artists are a genuine threat to the establishment, and that's why so much time and money is spent on dissuading people from pursuing a life among the arts

Lexapro will help with anxiety, but i found after a few months that it dulled ANY emotion. it made anxiety attacks less frequent, but the emotional numbness *sucked*

that's why it's often paired with Wellbutrin, a mild stimulant used to treat depression & minor ADHD

(and of course, just to be entirely clear, I know that the ACTUAL solution to this issue is to invest more in public transportation and get people to stop using personal cars/trucks in the first place :P)
December 14, 2025 at 1:48 AM
The solution is not to make it physically impossible for the car ITSELF to move at those speeds. The goal should instead be to make it impossible to get up to those speeds in the first place.

besides, making a change to specific roads feels more practical than forcing everyone to get a new vehicle
December 14, 2025 at 1:48 AM
I understand the sentiment, but there is a better method than limiting the cars themselves (which would make drivers complacent, not safe, as we've seen with "autopilot")

If you want to improve road safety, DOTs should invest in INFRASTRUCTURE that limits speeds like curves and pinch-offs.
