When I lived in an Aldi area I could totally throw a fill-you-up charcuterie party for $2/person. Seemingly fancy too.

In the Pacific Northwest we have Winco. It’s kind of big box but has Aldi like price choices plus bulk foods and great cheap produce plus the international stuff.

There's 270,759 "soybean farmers" in the US per Ag Census. Some are not very big. But even including all of those $10B/# of farms = $36,933 per farm.

"Buyers there want our soybeans" is doing a lot of work there. How long is that gonna last? These companies do get to choose who they buy their soybeans from after all. So much for Big Ag's supposed free market commitments.
