Update, i got better.
still need to add proper joint restraints and other minor adjustments but definitely a lot easier to work with now!
Also the shapes are very much not going to align properly but again the idea is to rotoscope over this to get the final look I'm trying to achieve. #toonsquid

My immediate thoughts are instead of using one big object on a single animation layer, I should try having each piece grouped into separate animation layers. Maybe also learning how to properly use bones and IK joints.

Small project I was working on. My thought process is trying to see if I can create a "base" pony puppet in toonsquid to use as a reference for rotoscoping animation. However the workflow isn't quite working out for me and I may have to rethink the process a bit to work with the software better.
