This part really resonated with me. I'm an asst coach for my son's Little League and travel teams. The latter is pretty lax, only playing every few Sundays during LL season.
More competitive travel teams have 3-4 practices/week, have weekend tourneys - sometimes playing as many as 3x on Sunday.
