For the richest country in the history of the world to allow something like this to happen is a deep, deep shame. But it's also expected when all these cities focus on criminalizing unhoused folks who sleep in public while letting housing costs skyrocket. A damn shame.

Will banning the visibility of homelessness end the homelessness crisis? Nope and California is a case example.
The people pushing these laws aren't serious. The Housing First model is a humane and effective solution but politicians would rather feed the beast of the prison industrial complex.
