One of the more obnoxious things about being a teacher is how ineffective I am at indoctrinating my students. Like, I offer sex change surgeries daily, I only allow bell hooks to be read in class, and I have a giant poster of Karl Marx, and they still refuse to seize the means of production!

I don’t often pretend to be better than others, but at least when I can’t afford a new book at an indie bookstore, I get it from my public library, and not from Amazon.
