In 2010 I was working in CA. A mate texted me and asked if he could stay for a couple of nights. He was in Taiwan doing due diligence on a manufacturer. As soon as he got into my car at the airport he said, "This place is fucked." Then he went on to tell me what was going on in Taiwan...

I often wonder how people in Norway (largest uptake in EVs) get on. Temperature really surprised me when I first encountered cold conditions on a trip. One can cut back on speed (the other major factor) to make the distance.

I was doing a course at TAFE when Whitlam was elected. We went from WWII vintage round, green screen cathode ray oscilloscopes to state-of-the-art Tektronix ones.

Not a lot of logic from Littleproud in that 730 interview last night. Had to walk out of the room on a couple of occasions.

The LNP are the party of “aspirations”. :-)
"The Nationals would scrap the Climate Change Act, Littleproud said. He said the party did not discuss whether they would push for Australia to leave the Paris agreement altogether."
I suspect they will not be in a position to do that anytime soon.

Craven, ill-advised and now repeatedly wedged, it's too late for Ley
If there remains who believes Sussan Ley can pull the Liberal Party out of its dissent into the political abyss, please raise your hand.

Often wondered how Sanders can get elected into the Senate in a country that has been perpetually concerned about communists and socialists.

Another way of looking at this is that the LNP are the party of perpetual opposition. They are a rabble much like the ALP in 2013.

How did you pay for it? I was in San Francisco a while back. Went for a ride with friends. Downloaded the app. Set up with my Oz credit card. Summoned a ride and was taken to my destination. The spent some time trying to pay for it. They don't accept foreign credit cards. Never paid for the ride...
