I love the new WaniKani dashboard. Especially the little guy who gets mad if I'm doing too well

I confirmed my availability and this is how the client responded. Maybe I'm doing something right, after all? 🤩

Tolkien fans: Did you know there's a neighborhood in Geldrop (NL) where the streets are named after LOTR characters? I went there and took a few pictures a while ago. It looks pretty normal other than the street signs, but it's still interesting. Some of the names have been localized into Dutch.

I used to cringe at inclusive language, but then I realized it doesn't exist for me (can I say "cis" here?). There are real people with real feelings who need it. This is my way of helping them. Screenshots from some of my work localizing Psychroma (which you should definitely play) into PTBR.

My favorite book about game localization will forever be Legends of Localization's analysis on the Japanese version of Undertale. Sure, reading about the theory is fun, but there's nothing like practical examples to show you what good loc is truly about.

Greetings, adventurer!
If you wish to venture into foreign land, why not add a wordsmith to your party?
Do not trust enchanted amulets that promise to make you speak every tongue, for their magic is unrefined. I can advise you on cultural habits so you do not get beheaded over a misunderstanding!
