So heartbreaking to see so many cool games localized by companies that don't pay their translators. I wish they would do a bit of research before picking their LSP.

Course finished, projects delivered, language learning goals reached... I'm very glad my schedule is freeing up, but now the challenge is finding work for the next 2 months 🫠

Translation tests are such a great learning opportunity. A well-made, challenging test shows you where you excel, as well as your weak points. Even if you don't pass, you can still learn so much from the experience.

Organized a meeting yesterday to give feedback on a project I proofread, and it was so good I honestly didn't even mind that it was 11 pm in my time zone. Seeing your colleagues' faces makes such a huge difference, I wish I could do this every time.

Since I have (wilfully) neglected my Dutch studies to learn Japanese, I decided I'm buying a ticket to see a musical entirely in Dutch. Won't understand most of it, but maybe it will be just the thing to motivate me again.

Finally passed the 300 kanji mark. Sadly, WaniKani doesn't show how many vocabulary items I've learned. Proud of my progress anyway :)

With more than 357,000 visitors, gamescom 2025 saw an increase of over 22,000 visitors compared to 2024. gamescom is therefore maintaining its momentum and setting new records, especially regarding internationality and trade visitors. @gameverband.bsky.social
