Like, is there a Dr. Jennifer Campos who is a professor of leisure studies at the University of Colorado and who asserted in the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography that the hammock has become this generation's frisbee on the quad? I haven't found one, but also, is anyone really going to read this?
Campus hammock culture College campuses have become epicenters of hammock culture, with students stringing colorful nylon hammocks between trees as social spaces, study nooks and napping stations. "The hammock has become this generation's equivalent of the frisbee on the quad," observes Dr. Jennifer Campos, professor of leisure studies at the University of Colorado, in her 2023 research paper published in the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography. "They function simultaneously as personal space and communal invitation, allowing students to be alone together in public spaces."
