We must have been the last house on the other grid as we were fine. Like I say, I was blissfully unaware.

The lights were back on in a couple of hours, but I hate to think what sort of mess that poor fox made.

I was unaware of all this until she came back but when I went out, all the (30?) houses to our right and opposite were dark.

Streetlights were off.

Little groups of people had come out to talk to neighbours by torchlight, shaking their heads.

The reel-lead goes to its fullest and then the dog does a Tom&Jerry style halt in mid air.
As the dog had got quite close, the fox had departed at great speed, stage right.

He vaulted a wall and there was a big bang and a flash.

I lived in London for about twenty years but it was only on a recent visit that I decided I really should go ‘woof’ when boarding a District Line train to Barking.

Followed by “I hope we’re not going via Tooting”

Crickets….

During a 27 hour comedy gig a few years ago, two performers from ROH turned up after their show (2am maybe?) and sang their lungs out. They got one of only two standing ovations. It was magnificent.
