When the weather forecast comes on, does everyone else spend the first 30 seconds discussing what the presenter’s wearing?

Late night walks with the dog were usually incredibly dull. Sometimes very long, usually fairly brief and occasionally distinctly unpleasant (windy night, messy dog poo, bag blowing around…you get the picture).

And, very occasionally, eventful.

I took this about 18 months ago just after a game at Craven Cottage. The old chap is walking home after a narrow defeat, listening to his radio as they describe the game he’s just watched.

It doesn’t sound like the same game but the truth is something in between.

Maybe 30 years ago, Psion organisers were around and I went to get a picture framed in Winchester.

The framer, tired of repetitive long-winded calculations, just entered the visible image size, width of each mount and the selected outer frame….

Do you know when there’s a new restaurant opening and the cuisine is food you like and you know they’ll be trying really hard, so you book?

And then you get there, it’s all smoked glass and steel. Really quite classy in a 1970s ashtray kind of way, with added neon.
