Interesting read. Glad the shorts and pants I ride in have reflective and fluorescent elements. I also have the reflectors on the pedals, but only front and rear facing. I'd love it if there were reflective elements on the outer sides of my pedals though. I also worry about viz from the side.

I'm comparing TJ Watt and his style of play to that of a true NFL career criminal. TJ may play hard and occasionally cross the line, but he's not on the field with the intent to end careers like Burfict was. Sorry if citing one play offended you. Then again, maybe you're in the QBs in Skirts Club.

And I think there were three HS state championship games at AreYouSure Stadium on Friday before the ND-Shartuzzi game.

Ye of short term memory. Look up Vontez Burfict. He basically turned Antonio Brown from freak to suoerfreak with a synapse-disconnecting hit. TJ Watt has his moments but pales in comparison.

I broke down and got an Airshot to use with my electric pump after using a charge pump at the local coop. I keep the CO2 for my ride pack for emergencies though. Works for me without the soap and water.

Just wait until a wind turbine blade is delivered by bike 😆😆😆

Even Garmin has different mounts across its Varia line though.

Agree but prefer the gopro mounts. I have them for my Varia so I can mount to my saddle rails or my DIY rig under my saddle pack when I'm on bike touring rides.

I would have looked at Wahoo's rear radar if it had a gopro mount. Passed on it and downgraded to an RTL515 when my RCT715 broke.

"The weak link in the chain is the complete lack of bike parking at businesses right on cycle lanes."

The business owners don't get the math. Pushing cyclists to alt routes guarantees zero spend. No bike parking means less spend. One car space with 10+ bikes parked means potentially more spend.

Really like this. I'll probably start using it where I can. Thanks for the suggestion. It will work when I'm facing a driver.

I'll probably still need the peace sign when I've passed someone since I can hold it up as I'm passing or flash it behind me.

2/2 No horn blaring, no exchange of signals by hand or mouth beyond me waving a peace sign as a message of thanks.

It was an example of the way civility can and should exist on the roads. Or it was just a visiting Notre Dame fan who hasn't been here long enough to learn the local customs. 😆

Didn't want to deal with drunk dejected Pitt fans. Smart move.

At the game looking out the windows at the science center. Not seeing them.

Did Pitt have a kicker named Blewitt?
November 15, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Sorry. The front one probably would help though.

Looks like a bike lock target to me.

2/2 The climbs at the end always kill the overall average. I was finally over 16mph from Eliza Furnace entrance and back.
